こちらの山から あちらの山へ
よびかける
空気を伝わって わんわーんと
ひびきながら 帰ってくるこだま
昔はよくやったものだが
今でも人は 山へ
よびかけているのだろうか

Calling out from this mountain to the one beyond,
the sound travels through the air
and reverberates with a “woo—woo—” echo.
A game we often played long ago.
Do people still call out to the mountains today?

En appelant depuis cette montagne vers celle d'en face,
le son voyage dans les airs et résonne en un écho.
Autrefois, nous jouions souvent à ce jeu.
Les gens appellent-ils encore les montagnes aujourd'hui ?
