“花つむぎ 令和8年”
織物の中に紬というのがある
紬糸には節があり
それを織っていくと
ざっくりした風合になる
紙をちぎって作った花柄が
紬のような感じがあり
花つむぎとした

Floral Tsumugi (2026, by Katsuji Wakisaka)
There is a type of woven textile called tsumugi.
Tsumugi yarn contains natural slubs,
which create a coarse, textured surface
when woven into fabric.
The flower pattern, made by tearing and layering paper,
has a texture reminiscent of tsumugi.
That is why I named it Floral Tsumugi.

Tsumugi Floral (2026 par Katsuji Wakisaka)
Il existe un type de tissu appelé tsumugi.
Le fil tsumugi contient des irrégularités naturelles,
qui créent une surface rugueuse et texturée
lorsqu’il est tissé.
Le motif floral, réalisé en déchirant et en superposant du papier,
présente une texture qui rappelle celle du tsumugi.
C'est pourquoi je l'ai appelé Tsumugi Floral.

織物中有一種名為「紬」的布料
帶有結節的紗線
織成布料後
會呈現出樸實自然的質感
以撕紙拼貼而成的花卉圖案
帶有如同紬般的質感
因此取名為「花紬」
